Vitamin P (Bioflavonoids) is a water soluble vitamin of the body whose primary responsibility is to maintain healthy blood vessels and arteries. It helps the capillaries to resist unnecessary bleeding by strengthening them, and helps to protect the system against debilitating diseases and infects.
Vitamin P works as an antioxidant of the body. They neutralize the free radical’s ability to properly oxidize cells, which can cause severe damage and illness. Oxidization breaks down the integrity of the cells, which makes them vulnerable to diseases and even early signs of aging, such as wrinkles and sagging skin. Bioflavonoids help to neutralize these free radicals, preventing things like this from happening.

Vitamin P is mainly a plant based vitamin. Bioflavonoids are more prevalent in fruits and vegetables than any other types of food. This includes citrus fruit such as oranges and lemons, peaches, cherries, plums, and even grapes. As far as vegetables go, Vitamin P is often found in tomatoes and carrots, as well as green pepper and broccoli. It is normally recommended that people take in at least five servings of fruits and/or veggies a day. Vegetables that are Red, Orange, and Yellow are most prevalent sources of Vitamin P out there. It is not hard to get enough Vitamin P into one’s diet if they are getting the recommended amount of produce into their diet. If this is hard, drinking tea or wine can help put more Vitamin P into the body. If this is not a normal routine, it is important to consider the them part of their daily routines. Vitamin P is just good for your body; there are no adverse conditions to face if the body does not get enough, and too much isn’t toxic for the human body, either.
